Services at Neary

Speech, language, and social skills services are provided to students after they are found eligible through an evaluation. Services are then recommended during the Team Meeting, and become part of the student's IEP (Individualized Education Plan). Those services may occur in the classroom, or in individual and/or small group sessions. Students with 504 Plans may also participate in some social language groups, if the Team determines that it is necessary.

Target areas in which services are provided by the speech/language pathologist include: receptive and expressive language (oral and written), auditory processing, social language skills development (Social Thinking, Zones of Regulation, Whole Body Listening), augmentative alternative communication (AAC), stuttering, voice disorders, and articulation.
