Borrowing Books
Classes come into the library once a week to participate in a lesson and choose books to borrow. They are also welcome to drop in any time to exchange books. Students may choose two books to borrow and take home to read and share with their family. If selecting a graphic novel, only one may be borrowed at a time. A second book of a different type may be chosen as well. The book borrowing period is up to two weeks, but students may not check out new books until they have returned the books they previously borrowed. Students may also renew a book until they have finished reading it.
Replacing lost or damaged books
If a book becomes lost or damaged, it is the responsibility of the student or the student's family to replace the book. The best option is to purchase a hardcover replacement copy, but you can also send in a check payable to the Zeh School. The librarian will send out overdue and 'lost' notices on a monthly basis. We would rather have the books than the money to replace them, so please take one last look before reporting that the book is lost!
Donating books
The Zeh Library gratefully accepts donations of new or gently used books. Please make sure that all donations are in good condition, are appropriate for an elementary school, and do not contain out-of-date information. Please let us know who donated the book so we can thank you and include a book plate with your name! Please also refer to our Gifted Books Program and Amazon Wishlist as well.
