Mission Statement

The mission of the Northborough Public School libraries is to provide access to a diverse collection of quality resources in a variety of formats, the appropriate technologies, and a highly skilled staff to support the Northborough Public School’s curriculum and state curriculum frameworks. We are also guided by the AASL’s Standards for the 21st Century Learner. District Librarians meet on a regular basis to work on curriculum mapping, share best practices, and create community projects such as the Northborough Children’s Book Award Program.

The Proctor School Library provides resources and support for students, staff and parents alike. Our goals are to teach Information Literacy and promote reading as a lifelong habit.

“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination and the journey. They are home.”
