We are going to be building a giant sized Periodic Table using pizza boxes for the information of each element.
Here are the guidelines for completing the project:
First get a 10" Pizza Box (Small Pizza size)
Cut off the two side flaps of just the lid of the box
Color your lid according to which Group your element is in, use the following (Groups are the columns)
Group 1. . . . Yellow
Group 2. . . . Green
Group 3-12. .Blue
Group 13. . . Purple
Group 14. . . Pink
Group 15. . . Red
Group 16. . . Orange
Group 17. . . White
Group 18. . . Black
Lanthanoid and Actinoid Series. . . Brown (Two rows down at bottom of table)
Create the cover that is to become part of the Periodic Table
Atomic Symbol needs to go in the upper left hand corner (pizza box should open from bottom)
The Atomic Symbol should be 2 inches in size for the capital letter and 1-1.5 inches for the lower case letter (choose your own font)
Atomic number needs to go in the upper right hand corner
The Atomic Number should be 1.5-2 inches in size (choose your own font)
Element name should go under the symbol in the upper left hand side
The name should be 1 inch in size (choose your own font)
Atomic Mass needs to go under the elements name
Atomic Mass should be 1/2-1 inch in size (choose your own font)
The remainder of the space could be filled in with data about element such as: who discovered it, density, phase it's found in, color, crystal structure, melting point, boiling point, etc... Pictures relating to the element can also go on the cover.
Name and class needs to go in the lower right hand corner and be 1/2 inch in size or smaller
Inside Pizza Box
On the bottom of the box,(where the pizza would go), create a model of the atom using the Bohr model shown in class. The electrons need to be a three dimensional item that you attach to the model. Electron configuration needs to be researched and match the actual theoretical configuration.
On the top of the box you will need to write a one page essay about the element and attach it the the underside of the lid. The essay should be one complete page, size 12 font, double spaced. Information that could be included would be: the history of the element, its uses throughout history, where and how it is mined or created, or other useful information about the element.

Bibliography
Provide a list of all the sources used to research your element
