A little about Mrs. A.
My name is Sandy Akdikmen (Mrs. A.) and I am in my 16th year of teaching at Nashoba Regional School District. I've been the K-5 Instructional Technology teacher for 13 years and spent 3 years traveling throughout the District teaching K-2 Technology. Previous to working for NRSD I taught Technology for 3 years in the Westborough Public Schools.
I have a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from Northeastern University. And a Masters in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Before becoming a teacher I was a Hardware Engineer and designed test equipment for Digital Equipment Corporation. I have three children of my own, all of whom are in their twenties.
I am very grateful to be working with the children of Lancaster and teaching at MRE. I love designing integrated innovative lessons that cultivate critical thinkers, problem-solvers, collaborators, and communicators.
