Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hi! My name is Ms. Amy Melanson, and I am so excited to be your Kindergarten Teacher this year. My top priority in the classroom is building a strong, individual connection with each and every student. Starting school (especially Kindergarten!) is a big step, and I work hard to make sure our classroom feels like a safe, comfortable, and joyful home away from home. I truly believe that Kindergarten is about so much more than just learning ABCs and 123s — it is a critical year for social, emotional, and personal growth. When children feel seen, valued, and safe, they gain the confidence to take risks and reach their full learning potential. My absolute favorite time of the day is Read-Alouds! There is nothing quite like gathering together, diving into a great story, and watching young minds light up with imagination, laughter and curiosity.
