Search engines take the user to the "public web" by connecting a key word to web sites on the internet. There are millions of web sites on the internet, but these search engines will take you to those appropriate for school kids. The Search Engines featured on the left are appropriate for younger students. The two on the right are for older researchers.

Unlike Google and Bing, this search engine lists the sites with academic or educational domains before commercial ones.
