Bookmark Competition

This is Center School's first time competing in the MSLA Bookmark Competition!

RULES:

• Do not enlarge or reduce the entry form. The bookmark outline must be 10 1/8" in height and 3" wide.

• Check your spelling!

• You may use the medium of your choice, such as markers, crayons, pens, pencils, pastels, etc… (Note: Gel pens do not copy well)

• ALL ARTWORK MUST BE ORIGINAL. This applies to BOTH hand-drawn and digital works.

  • Digital artwork is allowed, but must be original. NO AI image or art generators may be used.

  • NO licensed characters may be used (from books, TV, movies, comics, etc). 

  • Use of recognizably licensed artwork will result in disqualification.

SUBMISSION: Submit ALL entries through your School Librarian

• STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT ALL ENTRIES TO THEIR SCHOOL LIBRARIAN BY JANUARY 17, 2025. 

• The School Librarian must be an active MSLA member and will select one finalist per division to send to the state contest. 

• Private entries are not eligible.

WINNERS! Winners will be announced at the MSLA Conference in March!

Contest prizes include:

• Bookstore gift card ($50 for 1st place, $25 for honorable mention)

• Invitation to an in-person Awards Ceremony (details to follow)

• • Certificate, enlargement, and reproductions (50 for 1st place, 25 for honorable mention) of winning bookmark designs 

Bookmarks are due to Ms. Casale a week before the final submission date. This allows for everyone to vote on the three finalists that will be sent into the Massachusetts competition.
