Quarter 1 ended on Friday, November 7th. Report cards are now available in the grading portal. To find your child’s report card please log into the grading portal and then click on the e-locker, and then the e-portfolio. BMI Screenings for Grade 7 Students

Please see the link below for information regarding BMI screenings for students in 7th grade, which will occur from November 20th to November 21st during PE. This link includes an opt-out form as well. Please, if needed, only fill out an opt-out form if your child has PE this semester. This form will be sent again next semester for students who will participate in BMI screenings during PE then.

Student Attendance

We are already one quarter of the way through the school year. As of today, we have been in school for 46 days. I want to use this opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of regular attendance. Please check out this helpful informational flyer when you have a moment. Postural Screenings

Please view this link for information regarding postural screenings for grades 6th,7th, & 8th that will begin the week of November 3rd. This link includes an opt-out form as well. Please, if needed, only fill out an opt-out form if your child has PE this semester. This form will be sent again next semester for students who will participate in postural screenings during PE then. 

Bike Riding Safety

If your student rides a bike to school, please remind them that they need to get off and walk their bike once up on the plaza. Under no circumstances should anyone be riding a bike through the drop-off loop in front of the school. 

Picture Makeup/Retake Day

Monday, November 3rd

Students absent on original picture day:

If you are having your picture taken for the first time because you were absent on the original picture Day, have your photo taken and you will receive your photo proof after the event. This proof will also have information on how to order.

Students unsatisfied with their original photo:

If you received your picture package and are unsatisfied, just return your package & proof sheet to the photographers on retake day and have your photo retaken. We will replenish your package at no extra cost.

Red Ribbon Week

Outdoor Time Committee

NRMS is looking for a few parents to serve on an outdoor time committee. We will meet monthly after school at the middle school. The committee will be comprised of NRMS staff, students, and parents. Our task is to develop a plan to pilot unstructured outdoor time for middle school students beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. This is a directive from the School Committee. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, please complete the information in this form. Thank you!
