Quarter 2 Report Cards

Quarter 2 report cards are now available in the grading portal. To find your child’s report card, please log in to the grading portal and click on the e-locker tab. Once in the e-locker, click on the e-portfolio tab to find the report card. If you have trouble logging in or finding your child’s report card, please contact the middle school main office. Thank you!

NRMS One-Act 2026: "15 Reasons NOT To Be In A Play"

This year NRMS will be doing the satirical comedy "15 Reasons NOT To Be In A Play". 

The Google Classroom Code for this play is srq2pezn and this is where all information, scheduling, and updates will be done. There is a post within the Google Classroom with more information.

Middle School Musical 

The NRMS Hornet Production of Beetlejuice Jr was amazing. Congratulations to the entire cast and production crew.  I hope you were all able to catch one of the performances! 

Annual Geography Bee Winner

There will be 3 early release days in January. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 on these days: January 28, 29, and 30th.

Parent Conferences

Parent Conferences are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, January 29th, and the afternoon of Friday, January 30th. Please note that these conferences are by invitation only. If your student’s team would like to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress, you will receive an email in early January.

If you have any concerns about your child's progress at any time during the school year, we encourage you to reach out directly to your child’s team leader.

For parents/caregivers who are interested in learning an effective approach to managing conflict and behavioral challenges at home, Think: Kids is offering a free, self-paced 3 hour course to learn how to use Collaborative Problem Solving with your child.  Interested caregivers can find information for how to access the course on this flyer.

Take-A-Tag was a wonderful example of what we can achieve in the goal of supporting those who are unable to provide the basics and extras during financial struggles. When our school community works together with a shared purpose we all win. BMI Screenings for Grade 7 Students

Please see the link below for information regarding BMI screenings for students in 7th grade, which will occur from November 20th to November 21st during PE. This link includes an opt-out form as well. Please, if needed, only fill out an opt-out form if your child has PE this semester. This form will be sent again next semester for students who will participate in BMI screenings during PE then.

Postural Screenings

Please view this link for information regarding postural screenings for grades 6th,7th, & 8th that will begin the week of November 3rd. This link includes an opt-out form as well. Please, if needed, only fill out an opt-out form if your child has PE this semester. This form will be sent again next semester for students who will participate in postural screenings during PE then. 

Bike Riding Safety

If your student rides a bike to school, please remind them that they need to get off and walk their bike once up on the plaza. Under no circumstances should anyone be riding a bike through the drop-off loop in front of the school. 

Picture Makeup/Retake Day

Monday, November 3rd

Students absent on original picture day:

If you are having your picture taken for the first time because you were absent on the original picture Day, have your photo taken and you will receive your photo proof after the event. This proof will also have information on how to order.

Students unsatisfied with their original photo:

If you received your picture package and are unsatisfied, just return your package & proof sheet to the photographers on retake day and have your photo retaken. We will replenish your package at no extra cost.

Red Ribbon Week

Outdoor Time Committee

NRMS is looking for a few parents to serve on an outdoor time committee. We will meet monthly after school at the middle school. The committee will be comprised of NRMS staff, students, and parents. Our task is to develop a plan to pilot unstructured outdoor time for middle school students beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. This is a directive from the School Committee. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, please complete the information in this form. Thank you!
