Hi! My name is Ms. Gavin and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 10th year teaching at the Batch. I taught fourth grade for three years before spending the last six years in third grade. Now, I’m thrilled to begin a wonderful year of second grade with you in Room 25! :)
I grew up in Burlington, MA and graduated from Burlington High School. I went on to attend Providence College, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. After that, I completed my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Special Education at Boston College. This summer, I received a certificate in Social Emotional Learning from Endicott College.
When I’m not at the Batch, I love spending time with my family and friends! I enjoy traveling, reading and hiking. I also love to play tennis with other Batch teachers at local parks - so keep an eye out, you just might see us there!
I can’t wait to get to know you and begin this exciting journey together. Let’s make it a fantastic year in the second grade! 💛
