Welcome to the Digital Literacy, Computer Science and Robotics Classroom Website. Feel free to visit the links above to see what we have been doing in our classes. There is also information about the Computer Science club which meets after school.
The technology curriculum is based upon the 2016 Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science curriculum framework. The standards focus on four main strands; Computing and Society, Digital Tools and Collaboration, Computing Systems, and Computational Thinking. The robotics curriculum is also aligned with the Engineering Design Standards from the Next Generation Science Standards. See documents below.
We are a Google district with many opportunities to use Google Apps in the classroom including Google Classroom, which allows students to access a variety of digital media in a blended learning environment. At the start of each semester, students will enroll in their respective Google Classroom page using their Google Account. (see Google Classroom link above) This blended learning space is where I post digital resources including online polls, discussion questions, journals, video links, web site links, mind mapping tools, vocabulary activities, quizzes, rubrics, and more.
Grading is weighted based upon the type of assignment.
If a student is absent, they should check Google Classroom for missed assignments.
