Prof. Dalia Elfiky is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Structural, Thermal Control, and Space Environment Department at NARSS, Egypt. With over 24 years of experience, she specializes in space environment impacts on satellites and radiation effects on space systems. She conducted her Ph.D. research at the Toyota Technological Institute in Japan, focusing on radiation effects on solar cells.
Prof. Elfiky has contributed to major satellite projects—including EgyptSat-1, MisrSat-2, and NARSSCube—and has led several national and international research collaborations. She is an active member of IAU and COSPAR, an Associate Editor of the Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, and a former judge for NASA’s Space Apps Challenge.
She teaches and trains students in space physics, satellite subsystems, and space weather impacts, and is committed to advancing Egypt’s role in global space research and technology.
