NJHS Inducts New Members
On May 23rd, ALMS inducted 87 new members into the National Junior Honor Society. Parents, family, friends, and current 8th grade NJHS members were joined Dr. Massimo, Mr. Barnes, and the administrative team as our 7th and 8th graders took the stage to share the meaning of the Five Pillars of The National Junior Honor Society; Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship. Seventh grader, Tatia Goldberg, shared a speech with her fellow inductees about what it meant to be a member of the NJHS. All inductees recited their NJHS Oath to the audience.
New to the induction ceremony this year was the opportunity for 15 current members of the NJHS to plan, create, and participate in the ceremony. The entire ceremony was led by our students and they did a wonderful job.
At the conclusion, refreshments were served outside in the beautiful spring weather and photo opportunities were enjoyed as parents, teachers and students celebrated the moments.
