NRDA’S POLICIES

Buddy Form

We ask that all parents complete the NRDA Buddy Form for each student. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Registration Fee

A yearly non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student or $45 per family with two or more dancers is due at the time of registration. A student is not considered registered for class until this fee has been paid.

Permanent Registration Flier/Policy Agreement

Parents are responsible for signing a registration form annually for each dancer.

Refund Policies

If you are paying tuition monthly, you are responsible for tuition in full each month. You may not deduct for classes missed due to illness, vacation, etc. Exceptions will be made on an individual basis if a student has a medical condition that restricts physical activity. A doctor’s note must be submitted before a credit can be issued. Credits may be used for future classes at NRDA. Students who drop after classes begin must provide written notice two weeks prior to dropping the class(es). Tuition charges are based on the date of written notice, not the last class attended.

Younger beginner dancers who enroll and then decide to drop the class(es) may have unused tuition credited to their account for future classes at NRDA. Credits may not be transferred from one student to another.

Parents may pay the full year in advance by the date provided each year and receive a 5% discount. When paying for the dance year in full, please note that the 5% discount does not include registration fee or costumes.

Tuition Payments

All tuition is due on the first dance class each month. Accounts not paid by the 10th of each month will reflect the addition of a $15.00 late fee. After the 11th of each month, unpaid accounts will be e-mailed statements which will include a small administration fee as well. Tuition remains the same regardless of how many classes a student misses. Tuition will only be prorated for new students enrolling in classes after the registration period.

Returned (NSF) Checks

A $35.00 service charge will be applied to your account when a check is returned for any reason.

Costume Fees

Costume fees for the season will be $85.00 paid in 2 installments per class (see price chart). It is necessary to order costumes in December to ensure that we have them in time to make adjustments before the revue. Costume fees are non-refundable. If your costume fees are not paid, your costume will not be ordered.

Make-Up Classes/Missed Classes

If a student misses a class, it may be made up within one month of the date missed. Make-up classes are discontinued after instructors begin teaching dance recital routines. North Royalton Dance Academy and Cheer Zone is not responsible for any injury or loss sustained by the student or family member on or about the premises of the Academy.

Schedule Changes

Class Changes: A student may drop and add classes depending on availability. Class changes will not be allowed after January 9, to ensure proper costume orders and recital positions.

Student Class Placement

Age Groups: All classes (except Ballet I-VI) are based on the student’s age as of August 1st, no exceptions. A student may select a class in a younger age group, but may not choose a class in an older age group. The instructors have the final say as to which class(es) students are placed in.

Personal Belongings

Labels: Please label all shoes, dance wear, dance bags, coats, etc. with the student’s first and last name. Many items get left behind. If the item left behind is properly labeled, NRDA will do its best to contact the parent.

Medical Insurance

NRDA does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance and if an injury occurs, it is understood that the student’s policy is the only source of reimbursement.

Student Dress Code

  • Leotards should be worn with tights. Students may elect to wear shorts over top of their leotard, but tights must still be worn underneath.
  • Shoes: Proper shoes in specific colors are required for all classes. Please see the teacher for details or preferred shoes.
  • Hair: Hair should be pulled up and away from the student’s face.
