NRAER Mini-Grant Application Process
This application is for NRAER’s Mini-Grant program. These are “mini” grants designed for professions who provide services to those with a vision loss. NRAER will fund these as a first come first serve basis. These Mini-Grants are available to all NRAER members, except current Board members.
Mini Grants are available for professional development / experiences only including: workshops, continuing education, research, mentoring, summer institutes, conferences, pedagogy, and so forth. Professional development must improve practice, curriculum, and student/client achievement, and recipients must put professional leadership into practice by sharing what they learn with their colleagues.
Professional Degrees will not be funded, however the board will consider a course that is toward a degree.
Annual Grant Amount: The membership will vote annually to determine the amount the Mini Grant will fund based on the NRAER budget.
Opens: New applications can come in after January 1 annually. The Board vote as the applications come in.
Deadline: The application form will remain open until there are no remaining funds for the mini-grant.
Eligibility: NRAER Mini-Grants are open to current NRAER members who have been members in good standing a minimum of two years prior to applying for the grant. Recipients must be members in good standing at the time of receipt of grant monies. An individual shall not be the recipient of more than one NRAER grant every three years.
