Using Zoom for Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent Instructions

You do not need to create a Zoom account to join a Zoom meeting.

Step 1

Install the Zoom app appropriate for your device

👀 Zoom Client for Meetings - install for PCs (Windows) and Macs

👀 Zoom Mobile Apps - install app appropriate for your mobile device (iOS or Android)

Step 2

📧 Access the Zoom link from the teacher’s email or message regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences - Proceed to Step 3

👉 If the teacher shared a Meeting ID and passcode, open the Zoom app on your device and click Join and enter the Meeting ID and passcode as prompted - Skip to Step 4

Step 3

🖰 Click the link and allow Zoom to open on your device

If you are prompted to open Zoom, please click Allow

Step 4

✋ You may be placed in a waiting room as your child’s teacher finishes another conference.

The teacher will admit you once they are available.

Optional - Prior to Conferences

You can join a test meeting to familiarize yourself with Zoom and test your microphone/speakers

Be sure you have the Zoom app appropriate for your device installed (see Step 1)

Visit http://zoom.us/test

Click Join

Click Open to launch Zoom

To call in to a zoom Meeting:

• Call 415.762.9988 and follow the verbal prompts

• Enter the Meeting ID

• Enter # when asked to enter a Participant ID

• Enter the passcode
