My name is Mr. Rahner and I am a Special Education Teacher in the areas of math and science at New Providence Middle School and New Providence High School. I am in my seventh year of teaching.
I have achieved two graduate degrees with a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Caldwell University and a Masters in Reading from Montclair State University. I completed my undergraduate degree in teaching at Juniata College in Pennsylvania.
My six state-issued teaching certifications are in the areas of early childhood education, elementary education, middle school mathematics, special education, Reading Specialist, and English as a Second Language (ESL). Additional certifications include Work Based Learning (WBL) Supervisor (formerly Structured Learning Experience), Google for Education: Level 2 Educator, and Mental Health First Aid.
Additionally, I was able to work as an Extended School Year (ESY) Teacher at the Developmental Learning Center (DLC) in Warren, as part of Morris-Union Jointure Commission (MUJC) in summer 2025. I was a teacher of an 18-to-21 year old class!
