About Mr. Rahner

My name is Mr. Rahner and I am very excited to return for my third  year as a Special Education Teacher at New Providence Middle School! I will be teaching 8th Grade Mathematics and co-teaching 7th Grade Science and 8th Grade Science! Prior to working in New Providence, I served as a Special Education Teacher and Fifth Grade Teacher at Livingston Public Schools and Berkeley Heights Public Schools. 

I completed my undergraduate coursework in teaching and graduated from Juniata College in Pennsylvania. As of August 2022, I graduated from my Master of Arts in Reading program at Montclair State University. I have since obtained my Reading Specialist certification and thus highly qualified teacher (HQT) status in Reading and Writing. I also hold teaching certifications in early childhood education, elementary education, middle school math, and special education.

As a teacher, I believe in growth mindset and the power of "...YET!"
