Foods I/II
Foods I introduces students to food and nutrition by exploring with students food choices and customs, nutrients the body needs, dietary guidelines for good nutrition and planning daily menus. Kitchen principles of safety and sanitation are included in the study of workspace, tools and techniques of food, preparation. Students will develop decision-making skills as a consumer when planning, budgeting and shopping for foods to prepare in this course.
