This is a course designed to teach the foundations of algebra-based classical mechanics at a first-semester college level. Students should come in with good knowledge of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry.
Taking this course will prepare students for the AP Physics 1 examination, which takes place on May 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM. More details about the AP portion of the course can be found on the College Board’s Course and Exam Description.
Students are not required to take the AP Exam, but they are highly encouraged to. Students who take the AP exam will be exempted from the Final Exam, provided they have a class average of at least an 85%.
