Video Design
Period 1
VIDEO DESIGN is an introduction class designed to provide students with artistic, creative, and historical background in the fields of video and film production. In addition, this course provides instruction and training in the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of project development. It will teach students the skills involved in single-camera field production, which includes post-production. Using lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience students will learn camera, lighting, and sound techniques. Content, expression, and communication will be emphasized, and students will be encouraged to make meaningful work to challenge them to create high quality video and film content. Students will learn to work in a collaborative environment with fellow students while exploring promotional, documentary, narrative, and experimental forms of production.
Short Film without dialogue, but with an emphasis on Sound Design.
Short Documentary Film
Interviewing skills as well as the importance of B-Roll video as a storytelling device will be emphasized.
Promotional Video
Students will use their ceative camera and editing skills to promote an event, inititive, sport or club.
