The goal of the Language Arts Department in grades 7-12 is to involve students in language experiences that will enable them to communicate in all curriculum areas. By providing an integrative approach to reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing, the Language Arts program promotes the refinement of literacy skills. Through the interactive study of text, students acquire knowledge, synthesize thought, and articulate ideas.
