Tiger SWAG is a club available exclusively to Salt Brook Elementary School sixth graders. Membership in Tiger SWAG means students will serve as leaders and representatives of Salt Brook. The program will take place both during and after school.
Monthly meetings will be held after school on the first Tuesday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Throughout the year, there will be numerous leadership opportunities, including leading a class or activity during Media Bonanza Night, serving as a guest reader or classroom assistant for younger grades, taking photos on spirit days, and assisting with other school events.
Additionally, Tiger SWAG members will have opportunities to connect with students from the Morris-Union Jointure Commission (MUJC). SWAG members will host a “field day” for MUJC students, attended MUJC events, and welcomed MUJC students to Salt Brook for lunch and recess.
To be considered for membership, two applications must be completed by Monday, September 29th: the student application (to be completed by the student) and the parent/guardian application (to be completed by the parent or guardian).
Links to both applications are provided below. Approximately twenty-five students will be selected as members of the 2025–2026 Tiger SWAG Club after applications have been reviewed by the administration and myself.
Tiger SWAG is an excellent opportunity for students to step outside of their comfort zone. Through their participation, members will practice and demonstrate empathy, accountability, and respect while making meaningful contributions to our school community.
