Highlights of PTECH
PTECH is a CTE-accredited program that enables students to begin their college and professional lives more quickly by integrating high school classes, college courses, and experiences in the workplace with a specified focus in healthcare.
The program places students on a pathway allowing them to graduate with a high school diploma, a FREE Associate Degree from CCRI, and relevant professional experience in Rhode Island's high-growth, high-wage industries.
NPHS will work with a corporate partner(s) to include one-on-one mentoring, workplace visits and skills instruction, internships, and possible job opportunities upon graduation.
What Makes NPHS PTECH Healthcare Program Unique?
Strong and essential collaboration between (3) key partners: North Providence School District, higher education institutions, and industry partners.
Ensure students receive an industry-recognized degree, not only collegiate credits at no cost to the student. Students can earn EMR, CNA, and EMT certifications.
Clear connection between school work & careers, opportunities for paid internships, mentorships, and job shadowing.
