Newington Public Schools uses the PowerSchool Student Information System. Once you've created a parent account you will be able to view student schedules, grades, attendance, transportation, report cards, progress reports, and complete required forms.

After registration is complete, the parent/guardian will receive a Parent Portal Account creation letter from their child's new school. This letter will have the Access ID and Access Password needed to link the student to your parent account. Please note: the Access ID and Access Password are not a username and password and cannot be used to log into PowerSchool. If you have not received the letter by the time your child starts school:
Elementary parents, please contact the school's main office and ask for the "Parent Portal Account creation letter".
Middle and high school parents, please contact the school counseling office and ask for the "Parent Portal Account creation letter".
Parents should not log into their child's account, but instead create a parent account. Student accounts do not have access to complete any forms such as the required yearly parent information update form.

Q: I am having trouble logging in.
First, make sure you are using the Parent Portal for Newington Public Schools (Link) if you see the red schoolhouse you're in the right place. Second, make sure that you are using the username and password that you created. If you still have difficulty on the log in screen of the website click the link for "Forgot Username or Password?" Then follow the prompts. An email will be sent to the email address you used when you created your account. Be sure to check your email's spam or junk folders if you do not see the email.

Each district has its own PowerSchool, so you will need to create an account with Newington Public Schools. Since each district is unique you may notice differences in the portal from your student's prior district.

If you wish to add another child to your account, you will need to have the Access ID and Access password from the "Parent Portal Account creation letter" for this student. This letter also contains instructions.
