Student Data Privacy

Protecting student data privacy is a priority at Northbridge Public Schools.  While using innovative digital resources, we want to ensure the privacy and security of our students' information.  We have partnered with the Massachusetts Student Privacy Alliance and The Education Cooperative (TEC) to assist us in securing Data Privacy Agreements for vendors that collect student data containing personally identifiable information (PII). 

Note: Staff are required to submit a request using this process when student email accounts will be used to log into a specific application, website, or extension. Before submitting a request, please check the NPS Online Resources link below as most commonly used resources have already been approved by the district. 

Please note that the vetting process is not instantaneous. If a Data Protection Addendum is in place within our Student Data Privacy Consortium, we can usually have one in place within 1-3 days. If it is a new DPA, it can take weeks or even months to get a new DPA in place.
