THE NORTHBRIDGEATRONS ARE NOW IN HIBERNATION
Some members of the robotics team attended a field trip to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield for an interactive MassMakes event focused on teamwork and communication.
Schools were divided into three color-coded groups for a series of playful, point-based challenges. Representing the teal team, our students first designed a robot to meet a specific challenge: building a system capable of holding certain items using only one attachment.
Later, they collaborated to operate the robot and complete the task through effective communication. The event concluded with a team-building activity where students worked in pairs and small groups to efficiently design and build paper airplanes, emphasizing collaboration and precision.
Overall, this experience strengthened our robotics team’s sense of unity and provided valuable transferable skills—such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork—that they will bring back and apply within our school community.
