Volunteer In Our School!
The Northbridge PTA plans and and organizes events and fundraisers throughout the school year. We can't do it without YOU! Get involved - join our PTA today!
Why Should I Volunteer?
Why Not?!
Volunteering comes in all shapes and forms. You do not need to devote all of your free time to PTA activities (although we would LOVE that enthusiasm). Monthly meetings allow us to connect with other parents/guardians, school staff, and administrators to brainstorm ideas to benefit EVERYONE. As a paid member (nominal fee of $10 per school year), you'll be able to vote and share your opinion on where/how we should focus our efforts!
We have opportunities to spearhead events and fundraisers, join sub committees for projects that interest you, and/or help with prep work behind the scenes. Many hands make light work.
Who Benefits When I Volunteer?
Volunteering is important for all of us - especially for the children. It sends a very clear message to students that you care and are devoting your time, talents, and energy to create a better school experience for them. It shows that you support them and their teachers and lets them know that they all matter!
Our teachers and staff deserve as much additional support as we can provide. They nurture the children every single day. It's important to the NPTA that we help lighten the load and provide resources to make their days easier.
We need YOU!
The number one reason people don't volunteer is because no one asked them. Well, consider yourself asked! Your time and ideas are needed and wanted by our staff and students! The diversity of our community and the experiences you can share are extremely valuable. Whether you are a parent/guardian, teacher/staff/administrator, or a community member, your input and expertise are needed and appreciated.
What do I need to do to volunteer?
Take a few moments to complete the 2025-2026 PTA Membership Form. You will be asked to submit your annual member dues of $10 (most of which goes to Massachusetts PTA for our membership).
All volunteers are also required to have an active CORI on file with the Northbridge Public Schools. Each CORI is valid for 3 years. The completed application, available here, must be hand-delivered to the NES School Office or the NPS Administration building with a valid photo identification.
