Attendance Much of our learning will take place together in class. We do lots of hands-on activities and group work. Please plan to attend school every day, except in cases of illness or emergency!
Book fairs Once or twice each year, the school holds a book fair by Scholastic. This is a great way to purchase books inexpensively, while helping our class earn points towards other items!
Communication Please feel free to contact me by e-mail me with questions or concerns at any time.
Dismissal School ends at 2:40 pm. You must send a note to school if your child is to go home a different way than his/her normal schedule!
Emergencies Please make sure we have the correct emergency information on file for your child. If phone numbers change, you can call or send a note so your child's file can be updated!
Fun Positive attitudes and effort make learning fun.
Gratitude Appreciation for RAMS acts of kindness continue the positive energy of being part of a caring community of learners.
Homework Your child will have homework Monday through Thursday. Homework will usually consist of math problems, cursive practice, grammar and reading. It should take no more than 40 minutes!
Important Info If you have any important papers that need to come to school, please send them in with your child.
Job well done! When your child has done a great job in class, they will be recognized! Students may receive a RAMS ticket, the Wall of Fame, and they are making personal growth!
Kindness We will practice being kind to others and ourselves every day. Northbridge Elementary and Mrs. Clark have a zero tolerance policy for bullying.
Lunch Our lunch time is from 11:15 am until 11:45 am. Please make sure that your child is prepared for lunch by either bringing in a healthy, balanced lunch or making sure there is a balance on their account to buy our school lunch.
Money When sending money to school, please put it in an envelope or bag with your child's name on it.
Northbridge Public Schools website www.nps.org Check out the district and school webpages for information, events, forms and updates.
Open Door Policy I do my very best to maintain an Open Door Policy. (This goes hand in hand with an "Open-Mind Policy.") If you have a problem or questions, please let me know. I'd love to work with you for the betterment of your child's education.
Practice Sometimes it's easy to forget that children are fairly new to the world. It requires 10,000 hours of a task to master it! I strongly encourage students to practice math facts, reading, and discussing their thoughts often.
Questions Please ask questions for confirmation, clarification or understandings. All questions are worth asking!
Reading Students are expected to read at home every night as part of their nightly homework. Encourage them to bring their library books home to read. We also have a classroom library that students can borrow books from!
Students Students need hydration. Students should keep a water bottle at their desk.
Tardies Students should be at school by 8:15. Arriving after this time causes students to lose instruction time.
Use of Electronics Bringing gaming systems and electronics to school is not permitted. They can limit a student's social interactions and put the item at risk of being lost or stolen. Please know that I am not responsible for any lost or stolen equipment.
Visitors If you are visiting the school for any reason, please make sure to sign in at the office and pick up a visitor badge.
Winter Weather Gear Please write your child's name inside their winter gear and make sure they have it handy during the winter months! An extra set of gloves or hats isn't a bad idea!
eXcitement! I have lots of it! I love my job and working with my students to give them a positive and fun learning experience! Please help to share a passion for learning with your children.
You! The critical tool for success in the 4th grade is you as a parent. Your efforts and hard work do not go unappreciated. Please know that I am very grateful for all that you do and will do throughout the year!
Zzz's Please make sure your child arrives at school well rested! We have long, busy days. Thinking is hard work and your child will be tired by the end of the day!
