Research and Digital Literacy Resources

http://www.infotrek.info/ This website offers an alternative to Google and is designed for middle and high school students.

https://middlespot.com/ Middle Spot works with Google and organizes your Drive content as well as creates a desktop that displays video links, files, and more.

http://search.carrot2.org/stable/search Carrot2 provides you with a unique ability to organize your search results into graphs. This helps to narrow your focus and more efficiently find the online materials you are searching for.

http://freerice.com/#/english-vocabulary/5673 Free Rice is a site that will help you study vocabulary and other curriculum. For each correct answer you receive you will earn 10 grains of rice to be donated to help put an end to world hunger. Please give it a try!

https://coursebuilder.withgoogle.com/sample/course?use_last_location=true Learn how to use Google as the powerful search tool it was created to be. This site will offer an online training to learn techniques and tricks to help find resources more efficiently and verify your information.


Math and Science Resources

https://www.ptable.com/ P Table is an interactive Periodic Table that gives you a complete breakdown of each element with a double click. Great study tool.

http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ Wolfram offers a deep library of math resources and tutorials.

www.khanacademy.org Khan Academy has an excellent reputation for providing great videos and study materials for Math, Science, and other topics.

http://www.hippocampus.org/ Hippocampus offers tutorial videos on a variety of subject matter.

www.desmos.com is a free graphic calculator and graphing site.




English Language Arts and History Resources

www.quizlet.com and www.studystack.com are two great resources for study tools. They have flashcards and games to help with curriculum.

www.paperrater.com will provide you with an overview of your writing. It scans for spelling, grammar, and citations; however, it also suggests vocabulary and sentence structure help to make writing more robust. It will give you a suggested grade based on your writing sample. It is totally FREE. Just copy and paste your text into the site and let it run the scan.

http://www.citethisforme.com/ and www.easybib.com are two sites that will create citations for you by simply copying and pasting information.

http://www.pbslearningmedia.org/ PBS Learning offers great resources for History assignments.

www.tweentribune.com offers students an opportunity to read about current events as well as other topics of interest.




Presentation Tools and Video Resources


www.animoto.com will create a free 30 second music video from images, text, video, and slides that you import. Add your own music or use their library. The site will render the components and forward you a link to your video with special effects added in.

www.padlet.com is a free tool that will create a virtual wall where you can post images, video, audio clips, and documents. It is a creative way to present a book report, information on a historical figure, animal, etc.

www.wevideo.com is a free video editing tool that is user friendly and simple to use.
