We are looking forward to another great school year. I am married to Desiree, an terrific educator, and we have 3 wonderful children. I pride myself on being accessible, so please reach out to me for good news, questions, or concerns. I recently earned my Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, and I am entering my 8th year as an administrator. I have taught at all levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade; including undergraduate and graduate students. We have lots of pets, a dog, 4 cats, 3 birds, a bearded dragon, and some fish. I love to stay active and slowly starting to love being at the beach, despite the amount of sand that ends up in the car and in the house.

Ms. LaVonya Blowe is always smiling as she scoots through the halls on her Razor. She is an alumna of Virginia Commonwealth University and Regent University. She has experience teaching Health and Physical Education, coaching several sports, as a Dean of Students, and as an assistant site coordinator. This will be Ms. Blowe's sixth year as an administrator. She has worked in Henrico and Norfolk public schools. Ms. Blowe believes "Self- discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do."

Ms. Monissa Cave is a product of Norfolk Public Schools and a proud graduate of Maury High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Norfolk State University and earned her M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Regent University. She is a 21 year veteran of Norfolk Public Schools, serving 16 years as a Health and Physical Education teacher and 3.5 years as Dean of Students at Blair. Ms. Cave is passionate about empowering our students to become successful contributing members of society. She is also committed to community engagement and offering parental support to encourage and ensure every student reaches their maximum potential.
