I am SO excited to be your 8th grade ELA teacher! It's going to be fun year of learning and new adventures, and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first, here's a few things about me!
I was born and raised in Norfolk and I attended Blair and Maury growing up. My dad I graduated from ODU and I am attending William & Mary for Literacy and Leadership, which will be completed next summer.
My husband and I live in the Blair district with our two rescue dogs Molly and Sydney and our cat Harry. My daughter also attended Blair before I started teaching here. She is now at the University of South Carolina, working on her Masters in Social Work. You will get to know my family because I love to talk about them!
This is my 27th year teaching in Norfolk, and my 11th year at Blair. I am so excited to share my love of reading and writing with all of you. Some of my students say I have more books in my classroom than the library. They might be exaggerating... just a bit!
