Hello, my name is Judith Garcia.
I'm in 9th grade and attend Bard High school Early College
The school is heavily writing based. The first week of school is a writing and thinking workshop which consists of focus free writes and an essay at the end of the workshop. School is fun when you actually know what's going on. It feels good to understand and master unfamiliar/new things.
I'm proud of all work I put effort into. Whenever I feel good about something I learned or wrote, I tend to share my work with others. It's nice to hear what my friends think of poems or essays I have written for class.
This may not seem like a big deal to some, but not being afraid to ask questions or get help with assignments is really important in day to day life and school. Instead of being ashamed of asking "simple" questions. ask for clarification. Its better to ask for help then to waste time doing nothing due to you being lost/confused.
I want to work on my math skills and ability to analyze texts better. Math the subject I struggle most in. I hope that one day I'll be confident enough in my math skills to be able to help others just as they have helped me before in the past.
