Mr. Michael Sowell is a proud alumni of Barringer High School. While attending Barringer High, Mr. Sowell was a member of the Speech team in his senior year, and loved the activity ever since. After college, Mr. Sowell received a Fulbright teaching grant to Bulgaria for 10 months during which time he also served as a Speech and Debate coach to high school students. Mr. Sowell always dreamed of becoming a Speech and Debate coach in the city of Newark and exposing more students in his city to the wonderful world of Speech and Debate.
