Q: When can my child visit the library? 

A: Students visit the library once per 4 day cycle and have the opportunity to borrow books during library class.  They are also welcome to visit at other times with their classroom teacher's permission.

Q: How many books can my child borrow?

A:  Kindergarten students borrow one book at at time, first through sixth graders may have up to two books at a time.  If your student has an overdue book, borrowing privileges are suspended until the book is returned.  

Q:  What happens if my child loses or damages a book beyond repair?

A:  Any time this happens, please make the library aware.  Families are responsible for payment for lost or damaged books.

Q:  What happens during library class? 

A:  Students engage in lessons reflective of the North Penn Elementary Library Curriculum and cover topics such as: how a library works, research and note taking skills, digital citizenship and digital literacy concepts, among others.
