A list of essential standards, in a vertical format, to guide your planning. Please refer to this document for a list of standards to support you in focusing and prioritizing instruction from now until the end of the year.

• ELA Cafe (K): Wednesday from 9:30-10 am

• ELA Cafe (1st-2nd): Wednesday from 10:30-11 am

• ELA Recess (roundtable edition for 3rd-4th): Wednesday from 1-1:30 pm

• ELA Recess (roundtable edition for 5th-6th): Wednesday from 2-2:30 pm

Tips & Tricks

• Focus on Essential content.

• Less is more! Give parents a framework of your expectations for the week, and then try to post only once a day

• Communicate with parents the list of “what you will need for this week’s lesson - ie. pencil, book, pennies… Be sure to begin each lesson helping students to get ready with those items for each lesson.
