DECADES OF APPRECIATION

Staff Appreciation Week | May 11–15

Every day, the staff at Nottingham School show up for our students in ways big and small—teaching, supporting, encouraging, and creating a community where our kids can learn and grow.

During Staff Appreciation Week, we have the opportunity to give a little of that care right back.

This year, the PTA is bringing that gratitude to life with Decades of Appreciation—a week-long celebration inspired by the energy, style, and spirit of each decade.

From a 50’s diner to 60’s groovy grazing, a 70’s retro-inspired reading experience, and a 90’s throwback lunch, we’re creating moments throughout the week that allow our staff to pause, recharge, and feel truly appreciated.

And with your help, we can make it unforgettable.

🎉 WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

🎁 Raffle Baskets

Throughout the week, staff will have the chance to win themed raffle baskets created by each grade level

🍳50's Diner Delight☕

We’re kicking off the week with a mobile diner experience: serving up breakfast favorites and fresh coffee to start the day on a high note

✌️60's Groovy Grazing🌼

On Tuesday, staff will enjoy individual charcuterie boxes and beverages, bringing a little peace, love, and joy into their day

🪩70's Retro Funk📚

A cozy, nostalgic break featuring a “blind date with a book,” sweet treats, and tea, inviting staff to slow down and unwind

💧80's Hydration Nation🍎

A hydration station and healthy snacks to keep energy high and help staff power through the day

📺90's Nostalgia🍕

We’ll wrap up the week with a throwback lunch from Nick’s, bringing all the fun and comfort of a 90’s-style celebration

🎁 RAFFLE BASKET DONATIONS

We’ll be hosting raffle baskets all week long, and we need your help to make them amazing.

Each grade will contribute to two themed raffle baskets, giving our staff the chance to win one of 20 prizes throughout the week.

These baskets are always a highlight AND a fun way for families to contribute.

📚 BOOK DONATIONS

As part of our 70’s Retro Funk celebration, we’re creating a:

“Blind Date with a Book – Analog Style” 📚

We’re collecting new or gently used books across a variety of genres:

Fiction
Non-fiction
Mysteries
Feel-good reads
Popular titles

Each book will be wrapped and labeled with a hint, giving staff a fun and unexpected way to discover their next read.
