Ladybug Award
Grades K - 1 - 2 - 3
The 2022 Ladybug Award state winner was:
"The Ladybug Picture Book Award is designed to promote early literacy and honor the best in recent children's picture books. A committee of children's librarians from around the state selects 10 picture book titles each spring. Then, during November, New Hampshire children from preschoolers to those in third grade choose the award winner. The winning picture book is announced at the end of the year. "
During the first half of the school year, read alouds for Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be from the Ladybug List. We will work through the list and vote for our favorites right before Christmas Break.
After break, when the votes are tallied by the Ladybug List committee and released to the public, we will find out which book is crowned the state winner!
