Grade 7: World Geography
Welcome back students!
I am very excited to be your Social Studies teacher this year. I teach both 7th grade and 8th grade Social Studies. In grade 7, students explore topics in World Geography by region. We "visit" a variety of continents and learn about the environments and the people who live there. In grade 8, students learn about the United States from when our country was born all the way through issues that affect our present lives.
A little bit about me . . .
I live with my husband Matt, who is a middle school math teacher, and our two children in Nottingham. My husband and I have lived in Nottingham for fourteen years, and we love this town! This is my seventeenth year teaching in Nottingham and my twenty-seventh year teaching overall. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in NY and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College in MA.
Two of my primary goals in teaching are to make learning fun and to instill a love of learning in all students. I am absolutely dedicated to providing a quality education to all Nottingham students. I am looking forward to our partnership and to an amazing 2023- 2024 school year!
