About Your Teacher

Hello First Grade Families,

My name is Mrs. Hicks and I am very excited to be welcoming you to our First Grade Family at Nottingham Elementary School and am thrilled to be your teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. I am looking forward to a wonderful year full of learning, community building, and fun!

I can’t wait to learn all about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about myself. I currently live in Epping with my husband, Moe, and our two children. My son Easton is starting Kindergarten in Fall, and my daughter Emma is 18 months old. We also have a black lab named Dudley. I have my bachelors degree from Rivier University in Early Childhood and Special Education. This will be my second year teaching first grade at Nottingham School. Prior to that, I taught in Epping for 7 years, four years as a Special Education Teacher and three years teaching 2nd grade.

There is so much that I am looking forward to this year. We will learn together, work through challenges together, and form new friendships. My goal is to make you feel safe and welcomed every day, so we can all do our best work this year! The first day of school for students is Wednesday, August 28th. Please remember to bring your school supplies with you if you were able to get them over the summer.
