Welcome Geographers, Let's get to work!

About Me:

Hey there! My name is Mr. Wright and I'll be your World Geography Teacher this semester. Here's a little about me. I'm a New Orleans native (from Algiers) who attended Edna Karr High School as well as Tulane University to receive a bachelor's of Arts in Sociology and Social Policy & Practice. I've never been out of the country (hopefully this changes soon). I don't have a favorite food because there's so much good food in New Orleans and I love to listen to music. Some of my favorite artists include Brent Faiyez, Sabrina Claudio, Blackbear, and Burnaboy.

Where we are from, the environment where we grew up, and our current environment inform how we move about life and interact with others. Together we will use information like this to study the world as geographers!

Before we start to study anything, we must get to know each other. Use the form below to tell me a little about YOU.

Our Course: World Geography

We are about to embark upon a journey. In our class you are not only Sci High students, but you are geographers devoted to studying the earth and its inhabitants. Through exploring the earth and society we will work towards uncovering the mysteries that our planet has to offer.

Here's a sneak peek.

“The study of geography is about more than just memorizing places on a map. It’s about understanding the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents. And in the end, it’s about using all that knowledge to help bridge divides and bring people together.”

President Barack Obama
