National Junior Honor Society presents...Guess how many Candies are in a jar!
FEBRUARY 23rd - 27th.
Take a guess during mustang block and 5th grade lunch!!
Winners will be announced Monday, March 2nd.
The candies in the jar will be:
5th Grade - Jelly Bellys
6th Grade - Skittles
7th Grade - Starburst
8th Grade - Sour Patch Kids/Watermelon
The winner for each grade wins the whole jar of Candy and a Daddy’s Dairy Gift Card!
$0.50 for 1 guess
$1 for 3 guesses
1 pride point per guess
All Profits go to the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
Seventh Graders: The Norwood Police Department is bringing back its VERY popular Youth Academy this summer. The youth academy is broken up into two separate weeks that you can sign up for. The youth academy fee is $175.00 and can be paid by check or money order.
The first week is July 27-July 31st.
The second week is August 3rd -August 7th.
We limit each week to about 40 students. These two weeks fill up VERY fast. Sign-ups for the Youth Academy are scheduled for Saturday, February 14th from 7:00 to 12:00 at the Police Department.
A second sign-up day is tentatively scheduled for February 24th or 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, if the two weeks haven’t already filled up.
Applications can be found on the Norwood Police Department website and at the main office.
PLEASE DON’T WAIT! THESE SPOTS FILL UP VERY FAST.

The Annual 8th Grade Palentine’s Dance at CMS is tomorrow, Friday, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Permission Slips are available from your homeroom teacher and are due by homeroom tomorrow. No permission slips will be accepted at the door. There is a $5.00 entrance fee.
Attention Interested 7th Graders: Coakley Middle School's National Junior Honor Society is giving students with a B average or higher the opportunity to apply for the 2026-2027 school year. Please stop by Mrs. Arone's Room 364, the World Language Office, Mrs. McCaffery Office, or the main office if you are interested in applying. Applications will be due no later than tomorrow, February 27th.
Reminder, students can only take the bus they are assigned to. We will not be allowed to sign off on requests to a different bus.
