Today is April 29th. It is an F Day.
This week is CMS Spirit Week:
Monday is Jersey Day - Wear your favorite team jersey from any sport-soccer, basketball, football, baseball, etc.
Tuesday is Hawaiian Tropical Day - Let's see your Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, shorts, sandals, and more!
Wednesday is Pick a Cause and Bring Awareness Day - Choose a color to represent a cause that means something to you, your family or a friend you want to support. Some ideas include: red supports heart disease, pink supports breast cancer, purple is for pancreatic cancer awareness, rainbow supports LGBTQ+, green supports mental health).
Thursday is Barbie and Ken Day - Break out your pinks and bows or break out your pastels and blues!
Friday: Norwood Day- Show your Mustang Pride!
Beginning Tuesday, Mr. Jeff Powers will be teaching students on Tuesdays and Thursdays some basic Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and wrestling techniques. The class can hold up to 18 students. He will incorporate Gracie Jiu Jitsu combative techniques, combined with some boxing and wrestling skills, to promote a well-rounded, self-defense, skill set. Permission Slips are in the main office and are due today. The cost for this short 5-week intramural class is $25.
The Multilingual Family Fair will be held here at CMS on Tuesday, April 30th, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. All are welcome to join this event to learn more about resources and organizations that Norwood has to offer. There will be snacks, raffles and giveaways. Hope to see you there!
Free Babysitting Course for Students 6, 7 and 8 will be held at Coakley Middle School, One Week Only, Monday to Friday, May 20th to 24th, 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, sponsored by the Women’s Community Committee, Inc. Registration forms are available in the main office. The deadline to register is May 17th.
If you are missing any sweatshirts or other clothing items there is a bin located outside the main office prior to leaving today. All clothes will be donated next Wednesday, May 1st.
Reminder, due to overcrowding, students should only take the bus they are assigned to. We will not be allowed to sign off on requests to take a different bus until further notice.
Reminder to all students, go home and charge your chromebooks. Also, your chromebooks should be in the case and chargers stay at home. Please return your borrowed chromebooks to the locker you borrowed it from!
