11th Grade Students use this Checklist to prepare your iPad for 2025/2026.
All students should complete the Apple Checkup on the last day of school to ensure all applications are closed out.
Students should check for iOS updates over the summer. If you have an update on your iPhone, update your iPad too. Students in grade 11 will not need to update their devices.
All iPads should be organized and ready to use on Day 1 of the 2025/2026 school year.
Students should organize their Microsoft OneDrive to make things easier to find in the future.

You must turn in your Norwin-issued charging cord and plug with your iPad. Please see the Replacement Cost sheet if you are missing items.

Create folders to organize your materials
Create a folder to store all of your Elementary materials
Create a folder to store all of your Middle School materials
Within your Middle School folder, create a folder for 7th grade and another for 8th
Delete anything you know you will never use again
Title your "Untitled Documents"
If you are in 8th grade, create a folder for 9th Grade

Check the "On My iPad" and the "iCloud Drive" locations in the Files folder and transfer any needed documents to Google Drive.
Share any important photos or videos to your Google Drive.
Check Notability or other apps where you may have documents saved
(if needed) Backup Notability to your OneDrive - Click Settings (bottom right in Notability) - Tap "Auto Backup" and Choose One Drive. This will create a Notability folder in your One Drive and save your work there.

Continuing the past practice from K-4 - students should continue to create grade-level folders to organize their materials within your Microsoft OneDrive.

Within your Hillcrest folder, create a folder for 5th grade and another for 6th grade

If you are in 6th grade, create a folder for 7th Grade - look at the Middle School Section above as well for any additional information.
More information will be coming from your child's building about the collection process.
The original, district-provided case should be on the iPad before collection.
iPads will be collected in a specific location at each building - (the iPad, district provided charging brick and cord will all be collected.)
Before the collection of student iPads, file organization and a "clean-up" of files and photos will be completed during their Computer Science/Classroom Technology time slot.

For 2025-26 School Year students in grades 2, 3, & 4 will be returning to school with their iPad.
For 2025-26 School year students K & 1 - will be issued an iPad from the IT dept and will be in their respective buildings.
