About the Library
Welcome to the Norwich Middle School Library! We aim to provide access and guidance to students searching for books to read. We have a wide collection of both fiction and non-fiction books. Our shelves are sorted by genre and subject, making it ideal for browsing and ease of locating books of interest.
Student Book Recommendation
Sixth grader, Evelynn, recommends the "A Girl Like That" by Tanaz Bhthena. The story follows a young girl named Zarin Wadia, an Indian orphan living in Saudi Arabia, whose life ends in a car accident. The story unfolds backwards to tell the events leading up to the accident. Evelynn recommends this book because she likes the cover, the story is interesting, and she likes the main character.
April is National Poetry Month! Here we have a display of various poetry books. There are books with classic poets such as Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson, books about writing poetry, and a handful of novels in verse. We hope to encourage students to explore poetry throughout the month of April!
"Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words." ~ Edgar Allan Poe
