This week is the "au" and "aw" sound. Lessons will be posted on Tuesday. We are celebrating Beach Day this week. Some ideas for at home fun are:
read outside on your beach towel
get dressed up for the beach to do your writing
play some "beach tunes" as you work or read
set up your beach chair and read with sunglasses on
This week we are looking at the "oo" sound. This is a continuation of last weeks sounds but concentrating on the "oo" words. Lessons from Mrs. Taylor and I will be posted on Tuesday.
*Paper copies of the packets are available for pickup at the school
Raz-kids is now free for 90 days. This is an awesome website for your child to access books online. I am emailing everyone with specifics but wanted to add the info to my site. Please take advantage of this site! Login directions are below. Keep in mind that I had to create two different classes so if your child was in my red group (they had me in the morning for reading) use that login document. If your child was in my blue group (they had me after recess for reading) use that login document. If you are not sure ask your child, they should remember their group.
click above for a link to the site
<--- These are the directions to login your child. I do not need the bottom portion returned to me.
Scholastic has provided a free resource with 20 days worth of online books (a fiction and nonfiction) and activities to go with. This is easy to use and a fun way for your child to keep reading, especially if they are struggling sitting down with a book on their own. Take a look it is a great resource!
