PROFESSIONALLY: I began my teaching career in 1999 at my alma mater, Cloverleaf, where I taught freshmen history. From there, I had the opportunity to work at Kent State University, where I taught and supervised future social studies teachers in their student teaching field placements prior to graduation. Following this experience, I worked at Hillsdale as a middle school intervention specialist for 6 years. In 2009, I accepted a similar position closer to home at Norwayne, where I was able to work as both an intervention specialist and a history teacher.
PERSONALLY: I have been married to my wife for 21 years, and we have three amazing daughters. My wife is also a second-grade teacher in Wadsworth, where our three daughters attend. Our three girls have been involved in a variety of activities ranging from band and show choir, to ETC, cheer (sideline and competition), lacrosse, and Girl Scouts. We are an extremely active family that loves spending time together. Besides traveling to Michigan in the summers, we can be found at Barnes and Noble, hunting for treasures at neighborhood yard sales, looking for goodies at the local Farmer's Market, or traveling to lacrosse tournaments across the Midwest and Atlantic Coast. My oldest daughter will be a freshman at The University of Akron, where she is hoping to earn her Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
