MYP Personal Project
The personal project is a student-driven project, that happens in the last year of the Middle Years Programme (Grade 10). Students choose a topic to explore through learning a new skill/knowledge and creating a product/outcome. Through the project, students demonstrate and strengthen their approaches to learning (ATL skills).
In other words, under the guidance of the MYP PP coordinator, grade 10 students will choose an topic of interest, explore that topic, create a product that deomstrates their learning, and reflect on the process. Additionally, the MYP PP will satisfy the State of Connecticut's Capstone Project graduation requirement.
The MYP Personal Project has three main componenes:
Process Journal - Students must complete a process journal that documents their progress and use of ATL skills
Product - The culminating work of their project
Report - A 15 page max written report that reflects on the students’s process and product
