The personal project is a culminating assessment in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) that students will complete over the course of Year 5 (Grade 10). It is an opportunity for students to envision, plan, create and share a product or an outcome of personal interest to you. Students will be asked to call on skills they have developed throughout their time in the MYP as well as attributes from the IB learner profile while also building ATL skills, self-esteem, self-confidence and self-reliance.
Timeline for Completion
11/30/2024: Topic is selected; Begin to research
12/11/2024: Have first Supervisor Meeting
12/20/2024: Complete and Submit Criteria A (on Google Classroom); Includes learning goal, personal connection, individual timeline, success criteria
2/5/2025: Second Supervisor Meeting; Product is finished
2/28/2025: Complete and Submit Criteria B (on Google Classroom); Includes
3/12/2025: Complete and Submit Criteria C (on Google Classroom); Includes
3/15/2025: Combine Criterion A, B, and C into a draft report; Feedback from supervisor and coordinator will be given
4/1/2025: Revise Draft and Submit Final Polished Report on Google Classroom
4/19/2025: Projects are submitted to IB
May (TBD): Personal Project Exhibition; MYP Celebration and Ceremony
