Depart and travel overnight to Rabat
Arrive in Casablanca. In Rabat, after we check into our hotel, we will be with our partner language school, Bridges. At Bridges, you will learn Arabic in the mornings, while afternoons will be spent in cultural enrichment activities. There will also be an opportunity for some of our seniors to experience homestay but all of you will be hanging with Moroccan students in the afternoon and/or evening.

Depart Rabat for the old medina of Fes. Fes is the largest city in the world without cars and a Unesco World Heritage Site. - Savor lunch after you check out one of the most beautiful Riad in the medina. - Settle into our local home in the old city and join your Atlas PL, Alex, for a program orientation.
Visit some of the most important sites throughout the medina, including the Bou Inania madrasa, al-Karaouine, the honey souqs, the tanneries, and spice shops. - Take part in cooking class and explore Morocco’s most sophisticated cuisine. Fassi cuisine is known for its Andalucian and Jewish influence.
Enjoy your last morning in Fes and explore the souqs for a more relaxed experience. - Hit the road to the blue city! En route, stop by the ancient Roman city of Volubilis to capture the diverse history of Morocco as a Roman province.
Experience a full day in Chafcheen! Enjoy a typical northern breakfast before you divide into small groups to explore and the bright blue and dark blue walls punctuated by the starburst colors of scarves, carpets and tapestries. - Practice your Arabic skills as you bargain for items to remember your time in Chefchaouen. - Catch a beautiful sunset over the blue-washed M’dina before tucking into a delicious dinner.
Drive to the Straight of Gibraltar and take the ferry across to Spain. - Continue driving to the old capital city of Granada and a key center of Moorish Spain. - Enjoy delicious Torta, Manchego cheese, and Jamon Iberico at a tapas dinner.
Enter the Alhambra of Granada and wander the enormous hilltop palace and gardens. - Look for Arab architectural and artistic details in this UNESCO World Heritage city. - Explore the different neighborhoods of Granada on foot.
Explore the Albaicin Neighborhood to explore the multicultural influences in the city and the origins of Flamenco. - Climb to the top of the old Arab market town and soak up views of the old city - Meet communities with both historic and recent connections to North Africa and the Middle East .
Drive to Cordoba in the morning and arrive into this old multicultural city. - Cross the old bridge into the old city and meet our guide for a detailed look at the Mezquita. - Learn about the building’s past and future and its role in changing Cordoba.
Say farewell to Andalusia as we finish our road trip with our final stop in Madrid. - Stroll through El Retiro Park, the former garden retreat of the Spanish Monarchy - Explore the historic center of Spain's capital as we pass via Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor (and try some of the famous Churros Con Chocolate).
Visit one of the most famous museums of Madrid with a chance to see some of the most influential art from the region. - Reflect on your experiences and the importance of cultural fusion at home
