Join us on Saturday, February 23, 2019, as we carry the banner for Iowa students at our statewide UNconference, #EdCampIowa. EdCamp is like nothing in education you'll ever experience. It's a Saturday where excited, passionate educators gather together to share and learn at a common location, while sharing what they're learning on Twitter (if you can't attend, you can follow #EdCampIowa--the conversations always continue there).

The premise of the day is that the professional development is created by the people who attend that morning, with four sessions throughout the day. Go to a session that interests you, and, if you decide it's not for you, learn with your feet--go to a different session or create a new impromptu session and invite others to join you. There are no hurt feelings; the focus is on providing you with a learning experience that's meaningful for you.

Sessions do not have someone leading them; instead, the proposing person facilitates the session, with everyone participating, learning, and sharing together.

While you're here, you'll meet some very innovative educators. Conversations with everyone are encouraged, as well as growing your PLN on Twitter by following the great people you meet.

Click here to register! And don't forget to tweet that you've registered using #EdCampIowa.

(Add link below, also, with the link to the Eventbrite.)

What's an EdCamp?

EdCamp sessions are NOT 'sit and get' presentations. EdCamps are about discussion and thinking and problem-solving. We build the agenda first thing in the morning and then spend the rest of the day talking, sharing, and learning. Come prepared to participate!

Do some of the questions below resonate with you? If so, then you are a prime candidate for #EdCampIowa. Join us for what may be your most powerful day of learning all year!
